All of these children who required treatment were either attending
hospital or obtaining treatment locally.
Other Conditions.—
1 girl was found to be suffering from enlargement of the
thyroid gland and is being kept under observation.
1 case of severe nephritis was attending hospital.
9 cases of obesity were referred to hospital for treatment.
1 case of hydrocephalus was attending hospital.
1 case of mongolism was attending hospital.
1 girl suffering from exophthalmic goitre was attending
hospital.
Three children were referred to hospital requiring operations for
hernia.
The total number of children examined during the year,
excluding those attending the Dental Department, was 8385.
