PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER, INFECTIOUS
AND OTHER DISEASES.
Diphtheria was less prevalent than during the previous year,
and only two children aged 2 and 3 years of age, died.
There were altogether 45 cases, which gives us a mortality rate
of a little over 2 per cent.
During 1932 there were 96 cases; and 1 died.
Scarlet Fever also accounted for 2 deaths during the year.
One of these cases was complicated by Acute Haemorrhagic Nephritis
and Acute pleuro-pneumonia, and the other by Empyema and
Pulmonary Abscess and Acute Pneumonia.
PUBLIC HEALTH (SMALLPOX) PREVENTION
REGULATIONS, 1917.
No primary vaccinations or revaccinations were done by me
during the year.
NOTIFIABLE DISEASES DURING THE YEAR 1933.
