In 1931 of 8 suicides of Enfield residents, 3 were over 35 and 4
over 45 years.
In 1930 of 6 suicides either in the District or of Enfield residents
outside, 3 were over 20, 1 over 35 and 2 over 45 years.
In 1929 of 5 suicides of Enfield residents, 1 was over 15, 1 over
20, 1 over 35, 1 over 45 and 1 over 65 years.
BIRTHS.
The actual number of births registered in the District was as
follows:—

including 18 illegitimate births, i.e., 2.29 per cent. of the total.
In addition 6 male and 11 female still-births were registered.

The corrected birth-rates for both sexes, live and still-births, which takes into consideration those born outside the District and those in the District not rightly recorded to the District, and also the corrected birth-rates for the last 5 years, are:-

INFANTILE DEATHS.
The total number of deaths which occurred amongst infants
under one year, including 32 registered outside the District, and
deducting 3 of non-residents occurring in the District, was 52,
giving a death-rate of 50.38 per 1,000 births, as compared with a
