Two addresses of outworkers have been forwarded to other
districts.
PLACES OF PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT.
Twenty-eight inspections of cinemas and other places of entertainment
were made in accordance with the recommendation contained
in the Circular of the Ministry of Health, dated August
25th, 1920.
The sanitary accommodation at each place was found to be
satisfactory and sufficient.
OFFENSIVE TRADES.
The following offensive trades are established in the District:—
Fish Fryers 28
Rag and Bone Dealers 3
Glue Maker 1
Soap Boiler
and in connection with these, 59 inspections were made during the
year.
With regard to the Fish-fryers, 15 have been established with
the consent in writing of the Council, and the majority of the oldestablished
businesses have now been fitted with up-to-date frying
stoves.
Milk.
During the year the routine inspection of cowsheds, dairies and
milkshops has been carried out under the Milk and Dairies (Consolidation)
Order, 1926. It was found t hat the standard of cleanliness
has been fairly well maintained.
