As to these outstanding notices, the work required was delayed
on account of the weather or other reasonable cause.
Detailed particulars of the work done in the Sanitary Depart
ment will also be found in the report of the Sanitary Inspector
attached hereto.
SCHOOLS.
There are 22 Public Elementary Schools in Enfield, including
a Deaf Centre, 52 departments in all.
The Secondary Schools include the Boys' Grammar School
and the County School for Girls. In addition there are a number
of private establishments.
We have also the Chase Farm Schools belonging to the Edmonton
Board of Guardians, and a Roman Catholic Institution known as
St. Joseph's Home for Destitute Boys.
