Thirteen addresses of outworkers have been forwarded to other
districts.
EMPLOYMENT OF CHILDREN ACT, 1903.
During the year 284 names were received of children employed
out of school hours, and in 160 cases contraventions of the bye-laws
were found, and remedied.
Fifty-seven cases of illegal street-trading, etc., were found.
The total number of interviews and visits made under this
Act was 330.
MILK.
Frequent inspections have been made of the cowsheds, dairies,
and milkshops in the District, and every endeavour made to secure
compliance with the requirements of the Dairies, Cowsheds and
Milkshops Orders, and Regulations in force in the District.
The periodical cleansing and limewashing of premises as required
by the Regulations was also strictly enforced.
