The number of births registered was:—

Deaths.
621 deaths were registered as occurring in
,
the district during the past year, 320 being those
of males and 301 females. To these must be
added 64 deaths of residents of Enfield registered
outside the district; and 60 deaths of nonresidents
occurring in the district must be subtracted,
giving a total of 625 deaths.
This gives a recorded death-rate of 11.18,
and a death-rate corrected for age and sex distribution
of 1176 per 1,000. The corresponding
