TUBERCULOSIS.

The table below gives details of the ages and sex of new cases of Tuberculosis, also deaths from the disease ; this latter figure includes the deaths of non-notified cases.

In addition 26 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and 1 case of non-pulmonary
tuberculosis previously notified in other areas, moved into Edmonton.

The cases dying of Tuberculosis and not previously notified were —

There were thus 7 non-notified deaths out of a total of 70 persons
registered as dying of tuberculosis (Registrar's figures). Regarding the nonnotification
of the above cases, there was no suggestion of wilful neglect or of
refusal to notify.
