In addition 27 cases of suspected tuberculosis were referred for
examination from the minor Ailments Clinics.
(h) Other Defects and Diseases.
These cases are freely referred to the Minor Ailment Clinics and
either treated there or referred else where.
6. FOLLOWING-UP.
No change occurred in the system of following-up during 1939 with
the exception that children who fail to respond twice to summonses to
Special Clinics had their names automatically handed to the Health
Visitors. This step proved effective in many instances.
7. ARRANGEMENTS FOR TREATMENT.
The same arrangements were in effect as in 1938,
8. INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
The arrangements made to deal with children suffering from infectious
diseases is the same as in previous years.
