The Registrar-General has forwarded provisional figures relating to the country as a whole, and to London, enabling the following comparisons to be
Birth-rate per 1,000 population. | Death-rate per 1,000 births. | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
From diarrhoea, &c., under 2 years. | Total deaths under 1 year. | |||
Live. | Still. | |||
All Causes. | Enteric Fever. | Smallpox. | Measles. | Scarlet Fever. | Whooping Cough. | Diphtheria. | Influenza. | Violence. | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
The following table gives the number of births and deaths (registered)
subdivided into the four wards of the district.
It should be remembered that the births are only of those which occurred
in Edmonton and of course of Edmonton addresses: these are the ones
registered in Edmonton. Births which take place outside the district are
not included; this fact accounts for the difference between these figures and
those supplied by the Registrar-General.
Ward. | Births. | Infant Deaths. Deaths. | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
M. | F. | M. | F. | M. | F. | |

The figures in brackets include births registered in other districts,
information regarding which is forwarded by the Medical Officer of Health
of the district concerned. The total is 1,566, whilst the Registrar-General's
total is 1,610.
