Ophthalmia Neonatorum .—There were 4 cases of ophthalmia neonatorum notified during the year. The following table show that favourable results occurred in all the cases.

Tuberculosis.—In Table IX is indicated the number of new
cases of pulmonary and non-pulmonary tuberculosis notified during
the year in the whole of the Borough, together with the number
of deaths in the various age-groups. There were 66 deaths from
pulmonary and 10 deaths from non-pulmonary tuberculosis, which
give death-rates of 0.70 and 0.10 respectively, and a total tuberculosis
death-rate of 0.80 per 1,000 population. There were 5
deaths from pulmonary tuberculosis in persons who had not been
previously notified : three were of persons dying outside the district,
the deaths being transferred to Ealing, and two occurred in the
King Edward Memorial Hospital.
