No exemptions were granted under the Act during the year.
TABLE E - Prosecutions
There were two prosecutions under the Act during the year, as outlined
in the Appendix to this Report.
The majority of inspections carried out under the Act are undertaken by
a Specialist Public Health Inspector assisted by three Technical Assistants.
In addition, the district public health inspectorate (establishment - 20) carry
out inspections at food premises to avoid duplication of visits.
Four members of the clerical staff are employed part time on work in
connection with the Act.
