Article	Nature of Adulteration or Deficiency	Remarks
Amnioniated Tincture of Quinine (2)	The Analyst reported a deficiency in ammonia in these samples which was probably due to loss by evaporation.	Stocks of this article were withdrawn from sale.
Brewed Vinegar	This article contained 3.5 grams of acetic acid per 100 millilitres whereas each 100 millilitres should contain not less than 4 grams of acetic acid.	Vendor warned.
Chopped Pork	This sample contained 73 per cent of meat, including fat whereas, in the opinion of the Analyst, chopped pork must contain not less than 90 per cent of meat.	This matter has been taken up with the packers
Cooking Oil	The Ingredients in this article were not specified on the label as required by the Labelling of Pood Order, 19 53.	The manufacturers have amended the label on this article.
Cream Bun	Contained imitation cream instead of cream.	A notice has now been exhibited in the shop indicating the nature of the "cream" filling.
Hot Milk	This article consisted of 36 per cent of milk and 64 per cent of water.	Vendor prosecuted.
Irish Coffee Milk Chocolate.	In the opinion of the Analyst this article was labelled in a misleading manner.	The importers have amended the label concerned.
Lactic Cheese	In the opinion of the Analyst this article was incorrectly described in advertisements and on the label.	The manufacturers have withdrawn the advertisements and amended the label concerned.
Meat Extract Cube	One of the ingredients in this article was not specified on the label.	The importers have amended the label concerned.
Milk Bread	In the opinion of the Analyst a declaration that this article contained skimmed milk should have been made at the time of sale.	This matter is being investigated.
Parrish's Chemical Food	This article was labelled in a misleading manner.	Stocks of this article have been re-labelled.
Rum	This sample contained not less than 13 per cent of added water.	Vendor prosecuted.
Tinned Tomatoes	The sample contained 9 20 parts per million of tin and was therefore unfit for consumption.	Stocks of this article were surrendered and destroyed.
