CLASSIFICATION OF NEW PATIENTS
Respiratory Tuberculosis
During 1959, 119 of the new patients examined at the Clinic
were found to be in the undermentioned stages of the disease on
the first examination:-
A, or T. B. minus (Sputum negative or absent) 85 or 71.4
B, or T. B. plus, 1 (early cases, sputum
positive) 12 or 10.1
B, or T. B. plus, 2 (intermediate cases,
sputum positive) 22 or 18.5
B, or T. B. plus, 3 (advanced cases,
sputum positive)
119 100.0%
Non-Respiratory Tuberculosis
There were 17 cases examined at the Clinic and found to
have Non-Respiratory Tuberculosis in the following forms:-

Abdominal 3
Other Organs 6
Peripheral Glands 5
