HOUSING.

Individual Unfit Houses.

During the year action under the Housing Acts was mainly confined to the repair of houses. It was found necessary to apply Demolition Orders to 11 dwellings and Closing Orders to parts of nine dwellings.

I.—Inspection of dwelling houses during the year:—
(1) (a) Total number of dwelling houses inspected for housing defects (under Public Health and Housing Acts)0,242
