CLASSIFICATION OF NEW PATIENTS.
Respiratory Tuberculosis.
During 1950, 232 of the new patients examined at the Clinic
were found to be in the undermentioned stages of the disease on
the first examination:—
T.B. minus (sputum negative or absent) 128 or 55.2%
T.B. plus 1 (early cases, sputum positive) 20 or 8.6%
T.B. plus 2 (intermediate cases, sputum
positive) 78 or 33.6%
T.B. Plus 3 (advanced cases, sputum
positive) 6 or 2.6%
232 100.0%
Non-Respiratory Tuberculosis.
There were 21 cases examined at the Clinic and found to have
Non-Respiratory Tuberculosis in the following lorms:—
Bones and Joints 7
Abdominal 3
Other Organs 4
Peripheral Glands 7
