Maternal Mortality.
There were 3 deaths, compared with 9 in 1945. The maternal
mortality rate was 0.61 per 1,000 births, compared with 1.36 in
1945.
The deaths were caused by—
(1) Puerperal septicaemia.
(2) Eclampsia.
(3) Acute intestinal obstruction : toxaemia.
