107 children were examined during 1944. The classifications
arrived at, together with recommendations made, are summarised

(1) Certified as Mentally Defective:
Recommendations.
(a) Recommended for Special Day School 43
(b) Recommended for Residential School 5
(c) Recommended for Occupational Centre 3
(2) Found to be dull and backward:
(a) Referred to a special class 26
(b) Further trial in ordinary class 1
(c) Re-test in one year 25
(d) To attend St. Giles because of physical
defect 1
(f) To attend St. Luke's 1
