Home Work.
Lists of home workers or outworkers as they are termed are
sent in twice yearly, and this year contained the names of 339
workers residing in the Borough. 258 visits were paid to outworkers
and 17 visits were paid to premises of employers of
outworkers to examine lists.

Inspection of Offices—Public Health Act.
During 1944, 10 inspections were made and defects found
included lack of sanitary accommodation and lack of ventilation.
These were remedied by informal action.
