The 1931 Census showed that houses of 1—3 rooms formed
4.7 per cent. of the total number of houses in Croydon; those of
4—5 rooms 51.4 per cent., and those with over 5 rooms 43.9 per
cent.
Comments on the Incidence and Prevelence of Infectious Disease.
Scarlet Fever was more prevalent than in 1941.
The incidence rate of Diphtheria was 0.25, compared with
0.34 in 1941.
No cases of Small Pox occurred during the year.
There were 78 cases of Puerperal Pyrexia; 28 occurred in
the age-group 16—25 years and 49 in the age-group 26—45 years.
A majority of the cases occurred in women having their first
confinement.
