| 775. | Margarine | Contained boric acid or borates expressed as boric acid. | I would point out that the introduction of boric acid into margarine, although under licence from the Ministry of Food, appears to be an infringement of the Preservatives in Food Order, Part 2, Section (4), in which a chemical preservative is prohibited in butter, margarine, and the like. |
