The 1931 Census shoved that housee of 1-3 rooms formed 4.7% of the
total number of houses in Croydon; those of 4-5 rooms 51.4%, and those with
over 5 rooms 43.9%-.
Comments on the Incidence and Prevelence of
Infectious Disease.
Scarlot Fever was more prevelent than in 1940; the largest incidence
has been in East, Broad Green, Whitehorse Manor and Aldington Wards.
The incidenco rate of Diphtheria was 0.34, the same as in 1940.
No cases of Small Pox occurred during the year.
There wore. 51 cases of Puerperal Pyrexia; 23 occurred in the age group
16 - 25 years and 28 in the age group 26-45 years. A majority of the cases
Occurred in women having their first confinement.
