TREATMENT FOR E7ACTJEES. A special problem presented during the year
has been the treatment of cases prior to evacuation. Every effort has
been made to carry out "essential measures" before the patient left the
district, or where not possible, to arrange for this to bo undertaken later
by receiving authorities.
In addition, periodical visits were made by members of the staff to
Brighton to deal with urgent ca3es in that district until satisfactory
services could be organised to permit treatment locally.
