FINDINGS AT ROUT 1MB MEDICAL INSPECTIONS.
Uncleanliness.
At the primary inspections vermin were found in 47 and nits
alone in 1,154 children. On these inspections, 3.7 per cent of
the children showed evidence of infestation as against 2.9 per cenb
in 1939 and 3.4 in 1930.

Talcing the total school population as 12,549, the Tuberculosis Mortality rate was 8.0 and the incidence rate 15.9 per 100,000. For non-pulmonary Tuberculosis the mortality rate was 15.9 and the incidence rate 6 3.7.
