WORKSHOPS.
The number of workshops on register is 660.
The number of visits paid by the Inspector is 576.
HOMEWORK.
108 lists were received from employers, containing the names
of 272 outworkers residing in the Borough. 187 further names
were received from the Medical Officers of Health of various
neighbouring districts, and the names of 44 outworkers residing
outside the Borough were similarly despatched to the Medical
Officer of Health for the district concerned.
228 visits were paid to outworkers.
48 visits were made to premises of employers of outworkers
for the purpose of examining lists and other particulars.
BAKEHOUSES.
At the end of the year there were 77 Bakehouses in occupation,
of which 7 were underground. 587 visits were made by the
Inspector during the year, and 51 nuisances discovered and abated.
