GENERAL MATTERS.
TUBERCULOSIS IN MILK.
No samples of milk were taken on account of the impossibility of
getting examinations made.
DISINFECTION.
During the year 1,411 rooms, 47 hospital wards and contents
thereof, 14 school class rooms, 1 vehicle, and 16,921 articles were
disinfected.
The articles disinfected were as follows, viz.: 370 beds, 2,008
blankets, 39 blouses, 586 bolsters, 604 books (including 507 Library
books), 20 boots, 7 capes, 90 caps, 37 carpets, 207 coats, 15 corsets,
75 curtains, 251 cushions, 0 cloaks, 13 costumes, 535 counterpanes,
25 dresses, 109 dressing gowns, 457 handkerchiefs, 815 mattresses,
42b neckerchiefs, 84 palliasses, 79 petticoats, 1,495 pillows, 163 rugs,
98 shawls, 1,325 sheets, 1,143 shirts, 31 skirts, 1,403 stockings (socks),
786 towels, 514 trousers, 99 vests, 96 waistcoats, 527 jackets, 5 mats,
99 underclothing, and 2,285 other articles. Total 16,921.
