FACTORY AND WORKSHOP ACT, 1901.
The title of this Act is "An Act to consolidate with
amendments the Factory and Workshop Acts."
It will be seen from the subjoined list that there are
now 250 Factories and Workshops on the Register, which
is 24 more than last year. All these are periodically
visited, and due attention has been paid to maintaining
them in such a condition as to comply with the requirements
of the Act. During the year 382 visits of
inspection were paid, and in 23 instances nuisances
or irregularities were found, and 9 written notices were
served.
