Representations were made to the Board of Education in
accordance with these suggestions, but the requirements of the
Board of Education appeared to the Committee to be so stringent
that it seemed hardly worth while to undertake the extra clerical
work in view of the fact that the gain in grant would in any case
be small. A compromise was therefore arrived at whereby the
attendance of the children at the Town Hall would be reckoned as
qualifying for attendance prizes.
EXTENT AND SCOPE OF MEDICAL INSPECTION DURING THE
YEAR.
For the most part children have been selected for medical
inspection in accordance with the requirements of Section 58 (b) of
the Code.
