Notes.— For 1900— 1909 deaths of residents occurring beyond the district are included in sub-columns c of this table, and those
of non-residents occurring at the Workhouse, Workhouse Infirmary, Borough Hospital, General Hospital, Norwood Cottage
Hospital, Purley Cottage Hospital, and 89, Central Hill (Servants' Reformatory) are excluded.
Deaths of residents occurring in Public Institutions are allotted to the respective localities, according to the addresses of
the deceased, and all deaths of Croydon residents whose exact home could not be ascertained, are included in Block 8.
