During the year eight houses were demolished as part of the
Council's Clearance programme and the sites are being utilised
by the Council for the erection of flats. A further eighteen houses
were included in Clearance Areas.
Action was taken under the provisions of Sections 16 and 18
of the Housing Act, 1957 in respect of three dwellings and undertakings
not to relet were accepted from the owners.
Three applications for Certificates of Disrepair were received
and in two cases the landlords gave undertakings to carry out the
