During 1962 there were 66 vacancies and 98 families from the
Waiting List were housed in permanent accommodation. 16 families
were housed in Halfway house accommodation.

In spite of some difficulties, principally due to site drainage,
the alterations at the Chalk Pit, Ruxley, carried out in 1962 have
been a great success, and the families there appear to be settling
