SEWER INFESTATION
It was mentioned in the last report, that a treatment of the
sewers carried out in November, 1957, when the poison Warfarin
was used for the first time, appeared to show good results.
The use of this preparation with a longer period of baiting has
been continued in 1958 and again the results are most gratifying.
Sections of sewers, known to have been used persistently by the rats
for years, have now been cleared. The last treatment carried out
in 1958, was most encouraging although the heavy flooding of some
sewers two months previously may also have made them temporarily
untenable for rats.
