Queen Mary's Hospital.

A general hospital service with the following beds :—

Regular clinics for outpatients are held in the following
branches :—Medical, Gynaecology, Surgical, Ear, Nose and Throat,
Fracture, Orthopaedic and Surgical Applicances, Dermatology,
Diabetic, Pediatric, Physical Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmic
surgery, Diseases of the Chest and Psychiatry.
As in other hospitals within the district, voluntary services
are rendered by many organisations. The body named " Friends
of Queen Mary's Hospital," are particularly active and are furnishing
important amentites, which the hospital staff are unable to
provide.
Sidcup Cottage Hospital.
A General Practitioner hospital with 11 Medical, 1 "Section
4" and 1 "Section 5" beds.
The above hospitals are within the area of the Sidcup Hospital
Management Committee of the South East London Region.
Grove Park Hospital.
There are six blocks of this hospital within the area of
the Urban District. 233 of the beds concerned are used for
tuberculous patients, whilst the remaining 32 are reserved for nontuberculous
thoracic patients. All 265 beds are fully used.
This hospital comes within the area of the Lewisham Group
of the South East London Region.
Venereal Diseases.
Patients are referred to the various hospitals with specialist
clinics for dealing with these diseases. None of these clinics is
situate within the Urban District.
