SEWER INFESTATION.
The usual " test baiting " of all the sewers in the area was
carried out in May and was followed by treatments of those
portions found to be infested, in June and again in November.
The latter treatment was carried out in accordance with
revised instructions issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries
and Food. As expected, it resulted in a considerably larger
amount of bait being taken, and it is hoped that this will have
resulted in a more efficacious treatment.

The results are as follow :—
