3. Notices.
Two hundred and fifty Informal Notices were served
drawing the attention of the owners to the existence of nuisances
and requesting abatement.
Eleven Statutory Notices were served under the Public Health
Act and one under the Housing Act. These were for nuisances,
general sanitary defects, etc. In eight cases the matters were
remedied by owners and by the Council in default in the remainder.
