Whooping Cough.
Four hundred and forty-eight notifications of this disease were
received during 1953, as against five hundred and thirty in 1952.
This figure represents an attack rate of 5.3 per 1.000 total
population.
Eight of these cases were removed to hospital and the
remainder home nursed.
There were no deaths recorded from this disease in the area.
