FACTORIES, OUTWORKERS, SMOKE ABATEMENT,
SHOPS ACT, RODENT CONTROL AND VERMINOUS
CONDITIONS AND UNCLEANLINESS.
Factories Acts, 1937 and 1948.
A total of 430 inspections and re-inspections were made
during the year, and 66 nuisances and defects were found. There
were 66 nuisances and defects remedied during 1952—this figure
included those nuisances which were outstanding from the
previous year.
Table IV in the Appendix is a copy of the return made to the
Ministry of Labour and National Service for the year 1952.
Sanitary Inspection of the Area.
Tables III and IV give details of the varied duties involved
in Sanitary inspection of the area as carried out by the Sanitary
Inspectors.
