SMOKE ABATEMENT.
During the year 21 visits were paid in respect of nuisances
arising from the emission of smoke.
SHOPS ACTS.
The following contraventions of the Shops Acts were dealt
with during the year:—
Ventilation improved in 2 cases.
Sanitary accommodation improved in 9 cases.
MIDWIVES.
The Kent County Council carries out the supervision of
Midwives for This District.
ADOPTIVE ACTS AND BYE-LAWS.
No Acts or Bye-laws were adopted during the year.
RIVERS AND STREAMS.
Supervision is carried out of all watercourses within the
District, and during the year two nuisances were remedied.
