The method of procedure and precautions taken are similar
to those mentioned as regards Scarlet Fever, with the addition
of swabbing throats, and bacteriological examination of the material,
and the free administration of anti-toxin, both to patients and
contacts.
Twelve of the cases were treated in Hospital.
Erysipelas.—Twenty-two cases were notified, with one death,
as compared with 13 cases and 2 deaths in 1910.
Twelve of the cases occurred at the Union Workhouse, 3 at St.
Paul's Cray, 2 each at Orpington, and Farnborough, and 1 each
at North Cray, Mottingham, and St. Mary Cray.
