DEATHS AND DEATH RATE IN WARDS.
The figures given relate to deaths occurring but not necessarily registered.
Wards | No. of Deaths | Rate per 1,000 Population |
---|---|---|
Christchurch | 182 | 11.8 |
St. Mary's | 128 | 8.4 |
Brampton | 115 | 7.9 |

The rate for Bexley compares fairly with that for other
parts of the country. The Registrar-General has not supplied
a comparability factor for 1947 ; it is therefore impossible to
work out the standardised rate which would be comparable
with that of other parts of the country.
