There are arrangements whereby patients may
obtain dentures, which are fitted by the denial surgeon
and obtained from a firm of mechanics at contract
prices. An assessment scale, based on family income,
is used, patients paying full cost or a proportion in
accordance with income.
The service commenced in September, 1938, and the following is a summary of the work done in
1938:—

Bexleyheath.
During the year the Home was approved by the
Central Midwives' Board in respect of the second period
of training under new section B of the Board's Rules.
Four pupil midwives may be accepted at one time for a
