In suitable areas there are many advantages to be derived from
an arrangement of this kind. It prevents overlapping of officials,
and there is definite value obtained in having the preventive work
of the Local Sanitary Authority linked up in as intimate a manner
as possible with the treatment and curative side of Tuberculosis
work.
At the end of the year the total number of Beckenham cases
who were suffering from active disease was as follows: —
