Your Remedial Gymnast, Mr. Ogle, continues to attend the
Faircross Special School to treat the physically handicapped children,
and now spends an additional four sessions per week on this work.
I hope during the coming year to give him opportunity to take a
greater interest in the normal P.T. instruction in ordinary schools in
co-operation with the Advisors on Physical Education.

Child Guidance
The number of cases referred to Child Guidance Clinics this year
has risen to eleven as compared with five last year. I must reassure you
that these figures do not represent any increase in the numbers of
Barking children requiring this form of treatment and should warn
you to expect a further increase next year. The reason lies in the
fact that I have encouraged Medical Officers to refer such children
at the earliest stage possible so as to give the Child Guidance team
the best possible chance of righting the position.
