The population estimated up to the middle of the year was
21,730.
Population as per census of 1891, 14,301; 1901, 21,547.
Showing a decennial increase of 7,5^46.
Area in acres 3,184; 3,809 land; 5 water; 219 acres tidal
water; 87 foreshore.
Persons per acre, average for the whole District 5'6 on the above
population.
