Removal of Cases.
Of the cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis newly notified in 1917,
84 were removed: 57 to Sanatoria (of these 41 were insured and 6
non-insured persons). 2 to Hospitals, 15 to Infirmaries and 10 to
nursing or other Homes. 17 of the newly notified cases of nonpulmonary
tuberculosis were removed: 15 to Hospitals or Sanatoria
and 2 to the Infirmary. Of the pulmonary cases notified prior to
1917, 18 were removed: 8 to Sanatoria, 3 to Hospital, 6 to the Infirmary
and 1 to a Home. 4 cases of non-pulmonary Tuberculosis notified
prior to 1917 were removed: 1 to a Sanatorium: 2 to Hospitals and 1 to
a Home. Of the pulmonary cases notified in 1917, 18 were of persons
already dead or dying and in 1 7 other cases the patients did not survive
the year under review.
