Note.—Some premises are registered for more than one of the above processes.
This Act, in spite of its limitations, has improved the standard of cleanliness in many
businesses. Before premises are registered, a schedule of alterations and improvements
is submitted to the applicants When the improvements have been carried out, a standard
capable of maintainance results.
The number of premises registered in the City since the inception of the above Act is
84. In five cases the premises were considered unfit for the satisfactory conducting of
the type of business for which application for registration was made.
