South East London General Practitioners' Centre—This centre, which opened early in
1961, provides family doctors in the neighbourhood with facilities, which they do not
possess in their own surgeries, for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions not requiring
full hospital investigation and treatment. It has an operations room where the general
practitioner can perform minor surgery on his own patients, a well-equipped pathological
laboratory, X-ray, dark and viewing-rooms and two consulting rooms. Nursing staff
