It will be seen from the foregoing table (comparing the corrected death-rates) that among
the several sanitary districts in the quinquennium 1906-10, Finsbury (2.23) had the highest phthisii
death-rate and Hampstead (0 72) the lowest ; in the year 1911, Shoreditch (1.92) had the highesi
death-rate, the lowest obtaining in Hampstead (0.60). The death-rates from phthisis in Londor
in each of the four quarters of the year 1911 were as follows: first quarter, 1.52; second quarter
1.27; third quarter, 120; and fourth quarter, 1.40.
