Diagram shewing cases of Typhoid Fever notified in ten
London Boroughs distributed.so as to Indicate the
probable source of infection in each instance.
Dales of on set of symptoms {August 6th October19th} are indicated by the position of the serial
numbers particularising each case in the several boroughs. The groups of cases are arranged
in horizontal sections in such a way as to allocate case case to one of thirty-one sources of fish
supply. These sources are indicated on the left hand side of the diagram by letters A to X referring
to individual vendors. and letters a to g referring to market streets. Cases placed in the
batched section belonging to each borough way be regarded as the Cases placed in the
typhoid fever occurring apart from the special cause.
