STATEMENT AS TO THE COMMERCIAL AND HOUSING VALUES OF SITES UTILISED FOR THE ERECTION OF
WORKING CLASS DWELLINGS.
Statement showing difference between the commercial value and the housing value of sites (a) sold by the Metropolitan Board of Works r ,o Dwellings Companies and others, with the obligation to erect dwellings for the working classes
thereon, or (b) acquired or appropriated bv the Council for the erection of wortcing class dwellings.
Note .—The figures in the column headed "Commercial value," except in the few instances where actual cost is given, represent the estimate of the Council's Valuer of the amount which would have been obtained in the open market at the time of the disposal of the re-housing site for the site as cleared land free from all restrictions. The figures in the column headed "Housing value" represent in statement (a) the sums actually received from Dwellings Companies and others for the sites restricted to the erection of working class dwellings and in statement ( b ) the estimated housing value as determined by the Council on the advice of the Valuer, and charged to the capital accounts of the dwellings.
